Camas Books & Infoshop is a community run, all volunteer bookstore with new and used books, both fiction and non-fiction, on a variety of subjects. We also carry zines, patches, stickers, and a range of t-shirts and other artisan-produced items. Feel free to come by and hang out in our seating area with your laptop, or play in the kids' space.
In addition to being open EVERY DAY, there are also many extra-curricular happenings at the store. Be sure to check out our calendar for more information, and drop by for workshops, special guest speakers, and much more.
If you have questions about how to get involved, send us an email, or phone 250.381.0585. You can also sign up to our twice-monthly announcements list.
Special thanks to (A)Freeskool for co-ordinating many of the events in the space.
I like books a lot, yet it is rare that I find a book that brings together so many of the elements I look for. Green Is the New Red documents the criminalization of activists, and the history of various struggles for liberation in the face of state repression.
Presented by Gary and Yves Engler.
If Marx were alive today and asked to write a new edition of The Communist Manifesto, how would it be different from the original, composed 165 years ago? The New Commune-ist Manifesto is an updated version of Marx’s original, written by an environmentally conscious working-class activist. While following the spirit of the old, this version is written for the twenty-first-century working class and transforms the original from a historical document into a call-to-action to build an economic system based on economic democracy and ecological sustainability.

Signal is a radical artist’s dream publication. Editors Alex Dunn and Josh McPhee have a great pool of international authors and resources to draw on and both pocket-sized books are chock full of richly illustrated (in full colour) articles covering activist art around the globe.
